My Nana died on the 1st of July this year. I'll never forget recieving that phone call at 4 o'clock in the morning. It broke my heart to see the look on my dads face.
My Nana was fine before she went into hospital, she only went in for a simple hip operation but ended up catching every bug going. She went from a large lady to skin and bones. It was so sad to say her fading away before our eyes. She was also very confused in the last few months of her life. I dont know if she understood me when i told her how my exams were going and that i had a job.
The one phrase i heard over and over again when my nana died was that she was a very dignified lady. I never realised when she was alive but that describes her perfectly.
